David Schneider earned dual undergraduate degrees in architecture and philosophy from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received the Oglesby Traveling Fellowship. The fellowship enabled him to study light and atmosphere in Cistercian monasteries throughout southern France, an experience that continues to inform his thoughtful approach to design.

He brings creativity, optimism, and tenacity to the design process. A gifted conceptual thinker, he excels at exploring multiple approaches to a problem and finding opportunities within even the most challenging project parameters. Drawing on his broad experience to navigate complex challenges, he is relentless in his pursuit of thoughtful, well-resolved design solutions.

David is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture. Before joining HRDD, he worked at award-winning practices in New York and New Orleans, gaining experience across a range of project types and scales. He has also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico and an Adjunct Instructor at Tulane University.
